We prayed for a miracle which God granted in heaven. Daily we walk the path of grief, ever leaning on Jesus for our comfort. Until we meet again Millie, always remember you are forever loved and missed!

Valentines Day is upon us…

Love - Hearts – Candy - Flowers
Plans filled with romantic thoughts, touching gestures, and unexpected gifts.
Every woman loves to be loved. We all enjoy someone buying us trinkets to let us know we were thought of. We each want to have that special place in our man’s heart and his thoughts.
A box of chocolate, a glitterly rock, and a card professing undying love doesn’t hurt either.
But ladies…what if that is not what TRUE LOVE is all about?
What if true love is being patient with your shortcomings?
What if it is simply being kind even when you are grumpy?
Showing love might mean your guy is not envying what another man has in a wife?
It is not him boasting about how great he is or putting you down.
What if he treats you with a polite humility, never rude or arrogant towards you?
What if he refuses to argue, giving in to your way and never resenting that you demanded it?
What if he is truthful in all his dealings?
Maybe your guy is longsuffering, bearing burdens that are too heavy for you to carry.
He might have spent years hoping you will be the woman that God has called you to be, believing that you are meant to do good.
These are the many ways the Bible talks of loving others.
The Way of Love
1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned,[a] but have not love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;[b] 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. – 1 Corinthians 13:1-8
Showing love might be starting dinner before you get home. It might look like walking a crying baby so you can get a little rest. Sometimes love looks like holding your hair while you throw up. It might look like starting your car on a cold day. There are so many practical ways a man can show you that you are loved.
But even if he does none of these…
If he forgets it Valentines Day, comes home expecting dinner, and doesn’t help with anything, don’t give into the worldly thoughts that say, “He doesn’t love me”.
The world sets us up for disappointment. It wants us to feel neglected, like every other woman in the world has it better. That keeps us striving for more, desiring more, and ultimately buying more to make ourselves feel loved. Our hearts have been sold out for a commercial venture of moneymaking. Now is the time to rise above these thoughts and thank our guy for loving us well.
How does your guy show you that he loves you?
Blessings sweet friends…
