His speed is always fast,
He jumps from place to place,
His words are always delivered in an outside voice.
He is often admonished to slow down, sit still, and be quieter.
He plays with sticks,
He loves dirt,
He has no fear of making a messy.
He is frequently told ‘go wash up’, 'leave the dirt outside' or ‘put that stick down’.
He’s tough,
He’s rowdy,
As the saying goes, he’s “all boy” .
Some people would condemn that. Others would suggest he has self-control issues. He often gets a ‘firm talking to’ and guidance from the adults in his life.
But as his mama, I know that he is just in training to one day be a man.
He is practicing being strong, working hard, and to be bold with his thoughts.
He is dreaming of being a protector, of creating his own home, and being in charge of his kingdom.
He is learning bravery, courage, godly character, and tenacity.
Being ‘All Boy’ right now is a good thing because when he is grown he will be a Godly Man.
