Five years ago today as my body began to feel the pains of an impending birth, we headed out of our driveway to a hospital located about 90 minutes away.
The closer we got, the more we realized that our baby girl had no intention to WAIT for the hospital. We began to fervently pray out loud for the Lord to hold her in place.
As the hospital came into view, we quickly pulled into the ER. The nurse that met me at the car offered to deliver our baby in the elevator or take me upstairs to Labor and Delivery. I told him there was no way I came that far to deliver in an elevator and was waiting until I got upstairs. After transferring me from the wheelchair to a gurney, they ran me to a delivery room. Upon arrival into the room they required me to move to the hospital bed. At this point I hurt so bad they moved me instead. Settling onto the bed, I gave two pushes and greeted Amelia Joy Mount
~Our Millie~
Millie’s life story is one of Joy and Sadness, a happy baby who became an unhappy toddler. Her story was of a healthy infant that became an unhealthy preschooler. Her story of a timid child who boldly stood up for herself in the face of cancer. A scared little girl who summoned all her courage and bravely fought for her life.
Millie’s story did not end the day we walked her to heaven. We continue to tell of her life and its’ impact on others.
Blessings sweet friends…
