In these uncertain times, financial security is often a worry in the eyes of many families. Everywhere you look companies are hiring, yet many people are unemployed. This leads to so much instability.
I’m incredibly grateful that our family’s workers each have a good job. David and 2 of the kids earn an income from the same company. Another of our children owns his own business that supports his wife and children. Our youngest worker enjoys serving a local family by watching their children. Consistent income is such a blessing.
I’m also grateful for the teaching we received many years ago to live debt free and within our income. Over the years that has allowed us to have peace that even though things may be tight, we have the basics covered without worry. Not to say we are never tempted by a bigger house or newer car, however we quickly weigh the risk over the benefits and remember why we do what we do.
