For the last 16 months I have missed being around small children. I have seen my grandchildren and friends children but it is truly different than having a preschooler in our home.
Young children are so fun to observe and interact with. The way they shyly hide behind their mama. The sweet smile as they act like they are ignoring you. The way they are content to play with regular household items rather than toys. The carefree way they explore their world taking in every small detail.
Tonight our family had the joy of visiting friends who have two small daughters. The youngest, just 18 months, made my night as she sweetly gave me a hug and a high five as our visit got close to ending.
Children are such a blessing. Pure innocence wrapped up in a tiny little person. Parents remember “cherish every moment”...the years really do pass in a breath.
Blessings sweet friends…
